Choice Based Lettings

We advertise a range of available Council and Housing Association properties each week

Anyone can view the available properties but in order to be to considered for one you need to have completed an online application form and been accepted to our Choice Based Lettings Scheme (also sometimes known as the Housing Register).

For your application to be accepted you will need to be eligible for social housing under UK law and you will need to meet our qualification rules.

You normally have to have a connection to North West Leicestershire to be considered for social housing in the District.

The social housing we have available is limited so households are prioritised based on their housing needs and how long they have been waiting to be housed. 

When your application is assessed we will determine your needs and what properties you will be able to bid for.
